SCG Health's Back Story
The Searfoss Consulting Group, LLC (SCG Health) opened in 2011 and is focused on quality improvement, revenue cycle management and strategic planning in this post-health reform world. Services support the business of medical practice including physicians, medical groups, software companies and associations. Like the original concept for the Regional Extension Centers, SCG Health stands beside clinicians and office staff to evaluate, implement, support and optimize the implementation and ongoing use of electronic medical record systems, practice management systems and peripheral support systems to optimize revenue and manage ongoing operations.
SCG Health became a Medicare Qualified Registry for the 2016 reporting year (2018 penalty year). Additionally, SCG Health was approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) in 2016.
The SCG Tree
The tree is a painting the founder created years ago to convey the connectedness of family, friends and community. Like the tree, together they are rooted but still soaring above the ground and providing shelter in times of trouble. The tree reflects that synergy that the SCG Health network of companies, colleagues and clients provide which is the fabric of what we do. More recently, as we have moved into the big data behind quality improvement.
Becoming SCG Health
Can you spell Searfoss three times fast? How about over the phone? We thought so! As the company grows, it makes the most sense to focus on improving the medical community and not the spelling of the name of the company's founder. SCG Health better describes what our business is about - healthcare - while not losing our roots.
